• Background Location:
  • The app may collect location data in the background when the driver's device screen is locked or turned off, the app is minimized, or the driver is using another application. Background location access is required to provide continuous live bus tracking during an active route

  • Location data is used to provide real-time school bus tracking, allowing authorized parents and school staff to view the current location of the assigned bus and monitor the route for transportation, operational, and safety purposes.
• Location Sharing:
  • During an active route, the driver's location is transmitted to our servers and is made available to authorized school staff and parents of students assigned to that bus.
• Route History:
  • Location information collected during an active route may be retained to provide the school with a record of the route taken by the bus for operational and safety purposes.
• Tracking Duration:
  • Location tracking starts when the driver starts the assigned route and stops when the route is ended or the bus reaches its final drop point. The app does not intentionally continue background location tracking outside an active route.
• Driver Awareness:
  • A persistent notification is displayed on the driver's device while background location tracking is active, informing the driver that location sharing is in progress.
• Use of Location Data:
  • Location data is used solely to provide and operate the school bus transportation and tracking functionality. It is not used for advertising or for purposes unrelated to the transport service.
• Location Permission:
  • The app requests the required device location permissions before collecting location data. If the required location permission is denied or disabled, live school bus tracking functionality may not work properly.
